Pre-Licensing FAQ's
Illinois Sales Person License State Requirements (45 hours):
- Applicant must be
at least 21 years old.
- Be of good moral character.
- Applicant must be have
graduated from high school or its equivalent (GED).
- Applicant must have
successfully completed a 45-hour Real Estate Transaction Course at a real estate
school approved by the IL Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
(IDFPR) i.e. The Coldwell Banker School of Real Estate. For more specific

- Applicant must pass the IL exam

Indiana Sales Person License State Requirements (54 hours):

Applicant must be
at least 18 years old

Have had no conviction for disciplinary sanction under
IC-25 or any crime that has a direct bearing on a competent practice or the
individual’s propensity to endanger the public.

Successfully complete a
salesperson course and real estate exam approved by the Real Estate Commission
i.e. The Coldwell Banker School of Real Estate.

Apply for a license within 120

Wisconsin Sales Person License State Requirements (72 hours):
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old
- Successfully complete and pass the
72 hour state approved class in the area of “Real Property Law and Practice”
- Apply for a license within 120 days of completion of the exam. For more specific

Attendance Requirements: States
vary on attendance requirements. In Illinois, IDFPR requires attendance 90% of
the class. Absences an excess of 10% will result in failure of the course. In
Indiana, according to in.pla.gov a student must complete at least 14 out of the
18 classes and all of the exams. Wisconsin requires all modules be completed.
The Course Exam:
If you do not pass the Pre-Licensing final exam given on the
last day of the course, you have up to 30 days from the completion of the class
to take advantage of a free retake exam. If you fail to retake the exam, you
have an opportunity to repeat the course within one year from the class
completion date at no charge. Class dates, times and locations can be selected
from the current schedule and are not guaranteed. Additionally you are
responsible for bringing course materials from the prior class.
Refund Policy:
A
full refund will be given when written notice is received 72 business hours
prior to the class start date.
